The Oklahoma Sooners are the University of Oklahoma's athletic teams. Their men's basketball program produced Blake Griffin, who in two seasons (2007–2009) became the school's first consensus national player of the year, sweeping the Naismith, Wooden, Oscar Robertson and AP awards in 2009. Griffin averaged 22.7 points and an NCAA-leading 14.4 rebounds as a sophomore, set school rebounding records, and had his No. 23 jersey honored by the program before becoming the NBA's No. 1 draft pick.
Griffin remains the most decorated player in the program's modern history and its only No. 1 overall NBA draft pick.
