Peninsula Papagayo is a luxury resort peninsula on Costa Rica's Pacific coast, in the province of Guanacaste, known for secluded beaches, five-star hotels and celebrity getaways. It entered celebrity-news lore in January 2025 as the setting of Francesca Aiello's quiet engagement reveal: holiday photos and a video posted from the peninsula showed a diamond ring on her left hand, confirming — without a single word of caption — that she and Blake Griffin were engaged.
The peninsula's resorts are a favorite for destination weddings and discreet celebrity escapes year-round.
