The Viennese waltz is the oldest of the ballroom dances, a fast, whirling style in 3/4 time that originated in Vienna and is defined by continuous rotation, rise and fall, and seamless movement across the floor. On Dancing with the Stars it is a Dedication Night favorite because its sweeping, romantic flow suits emotional tributes.
