The BMI Icon award is presented by the performing-rights organization BMI to songwriters whose work has had an enduring influence on music. Clint Black accepted the honor at the 2025 BMI Country Awards with Lisa Hartman and Lily Pearl at his side, recognizing a catalog of songs that helped define an entire era of country radio and still fills his setlists today.
