American screenwriter and actor, born in 1987, whose writing credits include the acclaimed indie Nine Days, in which he also appeared, alongside work across independent film and television. He met Zazie Beetz in an acting workshop nearly a decade before their 2023 wedding in Germany. The couple later founded the production company Sleepy Poppy together, and in October 2026 he stood beside Beetz on the Nocturne red carpet, cradling her bump as they announced their first child.
