A breakthrough single is the song that lifts an artist from obscurity or niche fame into mainstream success. For Alex Warren, that song was “Ordinary,” which converted his social media audience into a chart-topping music career. In this story, the breakthrough matters because it filled his concert halls with listeners drawn by his confessional ballads about love and loss — the very audience that now brings cremation urns to his shows.
