Fan devotion is the intensity of loyalty audiences direct at an artist, expressed through attendance, collecting, travel and ritual. Most devotion stops at posters and tattoos; Alex Warren’s fans go considerably further. In this story, devotion takes the form of cremation urns carried into concert venues for his signature — an act of trust that turns a performance into a memorial occasion and the singer into a witness to each family’s loss.
