Molly is the name of a singing-bird automaton by artist Bliss Kolb that caught Kelly Clarkson’s eye inside the Brooklyn shop Art of Play. The delicate mechanical bird carried a $15,000 price tag on the wall, according to Clarkson, and became the unlikely center of a celebrity feud. The saga grew so famous that other stars joked dozens of dogs would turn up dressed as Molly at a Halloween parade.
