Audio Adaptation

Audio Adaptation

A spoken-word version of a book or play, performed by an actor whose voice alone must carry character and atmosphere. Jonathan Bailey’s audio Dracula during his title year is a prime example, turning his stage-trained voice into the whole production. Audio work has become a prestige sideline for screen stars, and Bailey’s choice of a Gothic classic suited him perfectly.
