The Girls Next Door was the reality series that followed Hugh Hefner’s live-in girlfriends, including Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison, at the Playboy Mansion. It made Marquardt a household name long before her podcasting career. The show’s legacy frames this story: the mansion is also where Marquardt met Nicholas Carpenter, the director she has now married after 18 years together.
