The Beauty Impact Award is an industry honor recognizing figures who use beauty platforms to create meaningful social change. Gomez received its inaugural edition in recognition of the mental health advocacy she built through her Rare Beauty cosmetics brand.
The award honored how Gomez built her company around self-acceptance rather than perfection, including adaptive packaging for people with dexterity issues and the Rare Impact Fund supporting mental health services. It was the beauty establishment's way of admitting she had been right all along: authenticity works, but only when it is real.
