Art of Play is a Brooklyn shop known for beautiful objects, puzzles, curiosities and whimsical mechanical pieces rather than ordinary souvenirs. In this story, the store became the other half of Kelly Clarkson’s viral feud after she said staff treated her dismissively when she asked about a singing-bird automaton. The shop later gave its own detailed account of the visit, insisted it wished her well and said it had reached out to clear the air.
