Beetlejuice is the beloved gothic comedy franchise about a mischievous bio-exorcist ghost, in which Jenna Ortega stars — a role that, alongside Wednesday, cemented her as her generation’s queen of the macabre. Her affinity for the material is evidently lifelong: appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers in October 2026, she called Halloween her favourite holiday and recalled a childhood spent in homemade costumes, including a styrofoam rock labelled by a headband and a recreation of Björk’s swan dress.
