A cliffside interview is a sit-down conversation filmed on or near coastal cliffs, usually chosen for its dramatic scenery and relaxed, open-air atmosphere. Television producers favour such settings for profile pieces because the landscape softens formal questioning and produces memorable visuals. The term is especially associated with a widely discussed FOX Sports conversation between Erin Andrews and Josh Allen, filmed above the Pacific coastline in Newport Beach, California.
