Datchet Road

Datchet Road

Datchet Road is the road in Windsor, overlooked by the castle, where the Royal Dais stands for the ceremonial opening of a state visit. It is there, in the open air and in view of crowds and cameras, that the sovereign formally welcomes a visiting head of state. The welcome of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in October 2026 unfolded there before the carriage procession carried the party up to Windsor Castle.
