A dating show is a television format built around people searching for romance under the cameras’ gaze. Love Is Blind reinvented the dating show by removing sight from the equation entirely, forcing contestants to fall for voices and personalities first. Season 11’s Jax and Stew storyline demonstrated both the format’s emotional power and its potential for swift, very public heartbreak when the experiment’s central bet fails.
