A docuseries is a documentary told across several episodes instead of a single film, letting filmmakers explore a subject in real depth. Music docuseries often combine interviews, archive performances and behind-the-scenes stories. New Wave, coming to MGM+ on Nov. 23, 2026, is a four-part docuseries about the new wave era, directed by Doug Triola. It uses the extra running time to let stars like Billy Idol and Boy George tell the story themselves.
