An egg donor is a woman who provides eggs used in fertility treatment so that someone else can conceive a child. Donation may be anonymous or, as in this story, come from someone the intended parents know. Rob Jetten and Nico Keenan’s baby was conceived with the help of an egg donor and carried by their surrogate Lisa, with both women described as acquaintances of the couple.
