An EGOT winner is an entertainer who has won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony — the four major American entertainment awards. John Legend achieved the sweep in 2018, becoming one of its youngest and first Black male recipients, sealing his status as a generational talent. The credential follows him everywhere, including, in October 2026, to a Manhattan park full of dogs in costumes, where his job was simply to celebrate other people’s very good boys and girls.
