Indian Outlaw

Indian Outlaw

‘Indian Outlaw’ was Tim McGraw’s 1994 breakthrough single, a playful hit that some stations resisted and many critics dismissed as a novelty. Instead of defining him, it launched him: McGraw spent the following years choosing deeper material and building one of country’s great catalogs. The song’s journey — from supposed gimmick to footnote in a Hall of Fame career — is the first chapter of the legacy honored in 2026.
