Neurology

Neurology is the branch of medicine concerned with the brain, spinal cord and nerves, and with disorders that affect movement, sensation, memory and balance. Neurologists diagnose conditions ranging from migraines and epilepsy to Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis, using examinations, scans and laboratory tests. Because the nervous system controls nearly every function of the body, neurology often overlaps with psychiatry, rehabilitation medicine and neurosurgery in patient care.
