Paul Overstreet (born 1955) is an American country songwriter whose compositions became standards recorded by many of the genre’s biggest stars. He was honored alongside Tim McGraw in the Country Music Hall of Fame’s 2026 class, recognized at the Medallion Ceremony in Nashville. Overstreet’s induction represents the Hall’s commitment to the writers behind the hits — the craftsmen of Music Row whose songs outlive any single recording of them.
