A price tag is the small label that starts this whole story: Kelly Clarkson said the singing-bird automaton Molly had $15,000 written on the wall beside it, which is why she asked about buying it. Art of Play countered that the displayed bird was not for sale at all. That gap — between what a customer reads on a tag and what a shop means by it — became the factual fault line of the feud.
