Princess of Wales

Princess of Wales

Princess of Wales is the title held by the wife of the heir to the British throne. Catherine has held it since 2022, when her husband William became Prince of Wales. The role carries no formal constitutional power but immense ceremonial weight: she is a central figure at state visits, banquets and national commemorations. Her greeting of the Sultan of Oman at Windsor in 2026 was a textbook example of the title in action.
