A business that develops, finances and oversees film and television projects, increasingly the way actors take creative control of their careers. Zazie Beetz and David Rysdahl launched their own company, Sleepy Poppy, after years of collaborating on screen. For a couple who met in an acting workshop and married in 2023, the company is both a professional tool and a shared project — the foundation they had already built before announcing a baby in 2026.
