Prosthetic makeup is the craft of altering an actor’s appearance with applied pieces, paint and hair work rather than digital effects. For Lizard Music, the makeup team transformed Dwayne Johnson, 54, into the elderly Chicken Man: grey stubble and thinning hair, age spots and a weathered complexion that, combined with wardrobe, made one of the world’s most recognisable stars genuinely unrecognisable on the Coney Island set in October 2026. Such transformations have become a hallmark of prestige character work.
