Seattle is the Pacific Northwest city that entered this story as the proposed solution: Art of Play said that while the Molly on display in Brooklyn was not for sale, a nearly identical automaton by Bliss Kolb was available in Seattle, and the artist was willing to sell for $15,000. Clarkson, unimpressed, later branded the store a liar in a sarcastic post quoting the exchange, keeping the cross-country bird at the center of the argument.
