The Senedd is the Welsh Parliament, the devolved legislature of Wales, based in Cardiff Bay. Its members make laws and hold the Welsh Government to account on devolved matters such as health, education and the environment. The monarch’s ceremonial opening of the Senedd affirms the Crown’s relationship with Wales, and the striking glass Senedd building itself symbolises openness and Welsh democracy.
