A spoiler is a piece of information that reveals an important plot development, twist or ending of a book, film or television episode before a person has experienced it. Spoilers are a major concern in entertainment culture, where audiences watch at different speeds, and outlets typically warn readers before discussing major reveals. The word also describes the person or publication that gives such a revelation away too early.
