A synopsis is a short summary that explains what a book, film or television series is about. The synopsis for New Wave, the four-part MGM+ docuseries premiering Nov. 23, 2026, describes the fascinating story of new wave music and the decade from 1977 to 1987. It promises a journey from the genre’s rebellious origins to its lasting influence on music, fashion and pop culture, told through interviews with the artists who lived it.
