TikTok is a short-form video platform that has become the unofficial second screen of Dancing with the Stars, where pros post rehearsals, reactions and behind-the-scenes clips to millions of followers.
It was a TikTok post that changed DWTS history in October 2026: Val Chmerkovskiy's since-deleted message, "You almost saw Fresh Prince enter the ballroom last night," was widely read as referencing the Oscars slap, sparked a fan backlash, and led BBC Studios to hand him the first suspension ever given to a pro.
