Tom Tom Club is the band formed by Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz, the married rhythm section of Talking Heads, as a joyful side project in the early 1980s. Their playful hit Genius of Love mixed funk, pop and early hip-hop, and became one of the most sampled songs in music history. Tom Tom Club’s story shows the fun, experimental side of new wave, and its members appear in the MGM+ docuseries New Wave.
