A decision made directly by audiences rather than judges or editors, the mechanism at the heart of the Readers’ Choice Poll. Fan votes reward visibility, loyalty and campaigning as much as the quality being voted on, which is precisely what makes them fascinating. The 2026 results — Colbert, Kelce, Ackles and friends — are a fan vote’s perfect output: affectionate, surprising and impossible to argue with.
