Meryl Davis is an American ice dancer who, with partner Charlie White, won Olympic gold at the 2014 Sochi Games — the first American ice dance title in history. Later that year she competed on Dancing with the Stars season 18 with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, winning the Mirrorball Trophy in one of the most technically accomplished partnerships the show has ever seen.
Her victory gave the Chmerkovskiy family its first title and softened, briefly, Maksim's war with the judges.
