A pop culture moment is the brief, shared event that everyone seems to discuss at once. Jenna Ortega’s rock-costume story, told on Late Night with Seth Meyers in October 2026 and answered by Meyers’ own trash-bag costume confession, became exactly that: a pop culture moment perfectly timed for Halloween week, clipped and shared far beyond its broadcast. It worked because it was human — two famous people, two terrible homemade costumes, one essential headband.
