Rumi is the lead character of KPop Demon Hunters — the charismatic leader and lead vocalist of the fictional girl group Huntrix, who fights demons when she is not topping charts. EJAE provides Rumi's singing voice (the character's speaking voice is performed by another actress) and co-wrote the songs that define her.
It was EJAE's demo recordings that helped convince the filmmakers the project could work — and turned her into the voice of a generation of fans.
