The Times is one of Britain’s oldest and most influential newspapers, founded in 1785 and known for long-form interviews with major public figures. It was to The Times that Lily Allen gave the interview in which she discussed the success of her album West End Girl, describing the agency and sense of liberation it had given her and saying she no longer needs to be taken care of.
