NBC’s flagship morning programme, home of Sexiest Morning Show Host winner Craig Melvin and the studio from which his poll campaign was loudly cheered. The show’s co-hosts, along with Melvin’s wife and fans, pushed his candidacy throughout the voting. His win gave Today bragging rights over rival breakfast programmes — including the one employing runner-up Vladimir Duthiers. The victory was celebrated on air with characteristic enthusiasm by the whole team that morning.
