Matt Damon stepped out with his family in Mexico City to celebrate the upcoming release of his new movie.
On Sunday, Oct. 4, the 55-year-old The Odyssey star attended the premiere of his crime thriller Animals alongside his wife, Luciana Damon, and their daughters Stella, 15, Gia, 18, and Isabella, 20.
Damon, who also serves as a producer on the film, kept his look classic in a light gray shirt and matching pants paired with a dark suit jacket. Luciana wore an elegant gray-and-black spaghetti-strap dress, while Isabella and Stella chose long dresses and Gia went with a shorter style.
The family appeared happy and relaxed as they smiled for photographers and posed together at the Mexico City premiere.

It’s no secret that Damon, who is also a father to stepdaughter Alexia, 27, embraces his role as a girl dad. The actor recently opened up to PEOPLE about entering the empty-nest stage of life alongside his longtime friend Ben Affleck.
Damon shared that he and Affleck, who has three children of his own — Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 13 — have found themselves getting emotional as their kids grow older and become more independent.
“We’re at very similar stages with the kids, and it’s definitely a new phase of life,” Damon said of Affleck, with whom he co-founded the production company Artists Equity in 2022. “It doesn’t take much to get us emotional at this point.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Damon opened up about life as a father of four and how he is navigating the reality that his daughters will soon be leaving home.
“I feel like we are facing it and embracing the fact that it’s happening,” he shared. “We’ve been talking a lot about presence and about really trying to be in the moment, and because you can’t slow time down, the only way to really do it is to really be there and be in it.”
Damon also admitted that keeping the family off their phones can be a challenge. With two of his daughters already out of the house, he and his wife are making a conscious effort to stay present and “hold onto what we can” as their family enters this new chapter.

Damon said part of that mindfulness comes from a long-standing family tradition that he considers “non-negotiable”: sitting down for dinner together every night.
“We have family dinner every night, and that’s non-negotiable, and it’s always been that way,” he told PEOPLE.
However, Damon acknowledged that even their family dinners can sometimes become distracted by work and phones. His daughter recently reminded them of that when she pointed out that, despite sitting together for dinner, the family hadn’t really talked.
“One of my daughters said, ‘Well, family dinner, last night we didn’t talk.’ And we realized, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re right,’ ” Damon recalled.
He explained that it’s easy to get caught up in a routine and forget the reason behind it. For Damon and his family, being more intentional and present during those moments has become an important part of their ongoing effort to practice “family mindfulness.”
